Back to France

I haven't written since I have been back to France. I was very busy looking for a job. I have just found a job for 8 months in an american company in Paris. So I'm going to be in France until next September. and then... we'll see!!

I'm going to finish my webiste here. Thanks for having followed my life in Guatemala!

Day of the dead and day trip to a natural reserve

I haven't written any update on my website for so long! My life has taken a really diferent turn in the last few weeks. I decided to go back to France for a few months.

Last Saturday, we went to a natural reserve with Mynor close to Lago Atitlan. We did a 3 hour hike in the forest and did some bird watching. We saw some beautiful birds all colourful! The day was beautiful after a week of rain.

On Thursday it was the Day of the Dead and I went for a walk to the cementery to see the tombs decorated by flowers. Here it's a big day and everybody comes to the cementery and spend the day there decorating the tombs and eating, drinking.

Hike to La Muela

This morning I woke up at 5 am to go hiking with Mynor. We went to La Muela wich is a hill close to Xela. About 1h30 hike up and 1h down. It was froggy but when we arrived to the top we could see a sea of clouds, beautiful! The last 20 mn are rock climbing but the rest is quite an easy hike. I hadn't gone hiking for so long, but now that the raining season is almost finished, I'm planing a few hikes very famous in Guatemala but thatI haven't done yet. Like the 3 day hike from Xela to Lago Atitlan or the 6 day hike in the north of Guatemala. Before I leave Guatemala I want to do it!!
